Everyone needs support during these times. People and business alike. Job seekers and employers. Everyone is doing it tough and nobody likes what’s going on.

These are challenging times, but they will end. That is for certain.

It’s our commitment to support everyone we can through this time. Through our 3 phase plan, we’re committing $200,000 to Redirect, Rebuild and Regenerate workforces.

Our JobScouts Stimulus Plan supports employers in redirecting people who find themselves out of work. Then when the time presents itself, our plan supports the great businesses who had unfortunately to stand staff down, in rebuilding their workforces.

Then when businesses are back to their previous staffing levels, we’ll support employers to continually regenerate their workforces and to grow their business.

What this means for employers is they don’t need to worry when they’re standing staff down, we’ll support them in finding new places for their team. Without cost. We’ll support businesses in rebuilding their workforces when they can, and we’ll support them in regenerating their business & their teams when the economy starts to boom again.

But it’s the community who really benefits. Communities where people have found themselves out of work, have found themselves looking at new careers or styles of work. Communities who have stood together during this crisis and are ready to continue supporting each other.

It’s these communities who know who needs work and where they would fit best.
It’s these communities who want to get back on their feet.
It’s these communities who want to revive the economy as quickly as possible.

Sure, we might not have a myriad of jobs available right now. No one does. But, like the current state of the economy, that will change. We ask you to stand with us. Stand with us as we support the community to pull through.

To do this, our Scouts have stepped up to the plate. Ordinary people, some who are in need of work themselves, have stepped up to the plate and put their money where their mouth is. During the Redirect and Rebuild phases of the JobScouts Stimulus Plan, our Scouts have committed to accepting discounted placement fees, temporarily, to support their local communities in this time of crisis.

A large part of the JobScouts Stimulus Plan is the $200,000 worth of committed support. This support will cover the placements fees paid to Scouts. Further extending this support is the platform fee waiver, where all listing fees for businesses are being waived.

This means that during the Redirect and Rebuild phases, any businesses who are hiring and commit to using community connections to fill their positions, will be able to list and fill roles at absolutely no cost to them.

It’s at this point that we urge employers, employees and the population at large to step up.

Plan Phases

Each phase will be active in line with the corresponding economic and work force conditions, with the Redirect phase commencing 30th March 2020.

Redirect

Purpose
Redirect the thousands of workers who find themselves out of work, to gainful employment in companies and organisations who desperately need them.

Activities

  • Contacting those businesses known to be hiring.
  • Seeking out those businesses who are hiring but it’s not public.
  • On-boarding thousands of new JobScouts to join the effort to reach the displaced workers.

Offer

  • $200,000 support package pays Scouts placement fees.
  • Platform fees waived for employers.

Rebuild

Purpose
Rebuild the work forces that have been depleted during the shutdown. Bring them back to the level they were prior to the crisis.

Activities

  • Working with businesses who are reopening and rebuilding their work forces
  • Up-skilling thousands of ordinary people who have become JobScouts on how to locate and identify the best Candidates.
  • Attracting new businesses and new Scouts.

Offer

  • Continuation of the $200,000 support package to pay Scouts placement fees.
  • Platform fees waived for employers.
  • Hiring Support program for businesses who need resourcing help for interviews, offers & on-boarding.

Regenerate

Purpose
Regenerate the success of businesses once their work forces are back to the level they were before this crisis. Support the rapid growth of businesses during the ensuing economic boom.

Activities

  • Implementing hiring success plans with regenerating businesses.
  • Further on-boarding of thousands of new JobScouts across the world.

Offer

  • Special bulk hire packages. Save
  • Hiring Support program for businesses who need resourcing help for interviews, offers & on-boarding.

Eligibility

Eligibility to be either a Hirer, a JobScout, or a Candidate is based on the below criteria.

Employers

Employers will be eligible if they are hiring. Eligibility criteria will change in line with each of the phases and may be subject to the availability of the remaining stimulus support funding.

Community Members

There is no limitation on community members joining to become active JobScouts. Everyone is invited to join, even if they think they only have a limited number of personal connections. Everyone knows someone and that’s what counts. All JobScouts are subject to conduct standards and these will be adhered to during the stimulus plan.

Employment Seekers

Employment Seekers will be invited to join through the publication of roles from Scouts. At that stage, their applicability for any given role will be assessed by Scouts and ultimately by the employer. Employment Seekers are also invited to join as JobScouts at any time, they may remain Scouts whilst they are also seeking or actively employed.

Accessing the Plan

Methods of accessing the plan differs for each type of user.

Employers / Hirers

Eligible Employers will be supported through the process to ensure their roles are filled as quickly as possible. Employers are invited to create an account first and then to contact David McPherson at [email protected] to access the stimulus.

Community Members / JobScouts

Community members are invited to join at any time. Upon application, Scouts will be asked a number of questions which will reside in their profile there-after. Accounts are activated immediately and Scouts may being requesting access to roles as soon as they log in.

Employment Seekers / Candidates

Employment Seekers will access available roles as they are published or invited to by Scouts. This follows the normal JobScouts process.
