No, absolutely not, that’s not how it works. Job Scouts is a platform that connects you (the ‘Employer’) with members of the public (the ‘Scouts’) who may know a person who will fit your role. The Scout then introduces the Candidate to you through the platform.

JobScouts is neither a recruitment agency nor an online job board.

Jobs are not listed publicly unless you choose to list them publicly.

Internal Referrals are only listed publicly if you choose to share them publicly.

Community Referrals are only listed publicly if you choose to share them publicly.

JobScout Network Referrals are never listed publicly, they are only published to the Scouts you choose.

JobScouts Public listings are listed publicly, that’s the whole point!

The only thing you’re committed to paying is your monthly subscription.

You can choose to list an incentive for each role if you want to, the amount is up to you.

Monthly Subscription

You monthly subscription fee is deducted on the monthly anniversary date, each month.

Incentive Fee

After you’ve chosen what methods you want to share your role on, you can then nominate what sort of incentive you wish to list.

That total amount is taken out of your JobScouts wallet as soon as you launch your role. If you do not have enough in your wallet, you’ll need to top it up using your credit card OR pay a JobScouts invoice.

When your role is launched, the money is deducted from your wallet and held in escrow. Any unused funds at the completion of the role are fed back to your wallet.

Yes, absolutely!

If all you have is one role to fill or one job you wish to advertise, you can purchase a subscription for only one month, list the one job (or as many jobs as you like) and then cancel your subscription when you’re ready.

No obligations to keep your subscription active after you’ve filled your role!

Answers for Scouts

The amount you’ll be paid for the successful hiring of a Candidate is shown on each role you scout for. The Placement Incentive, if there is one, is clearly state on each role.

Placement Incentives are split across the probationary period. This will depend on how the employer chooses to split the amount. It may be 50/50 or 80/20 or something different. It is entirely up to the employers discretion.

Money you’ve earned from successful interviews or placements is paid to your Job Scouts wallet.

Once in your wallet, you may choose to leave it there to earn interest. Interest rates in Job Scouts are very very generous and are paid to your account at the end of each month.

If you wish to withdraw your money, you can do so by connecting your credit or debit card to Job Scouts and choosing ‘withdraw’.

Absolutely nothing. It costs you nothing to be a Scout on JobScouts!

Just join and wait for the roles to be sent to you.

Through your personal networks or through sharing on your Social Media profiles.

First, start with clicking on the link that’s been shared with you. Then, click on the “Sign Up” button.

Join, complete your profile and then you’re ready to go!

Click Apply to get started.

After you apply, the Hirer is notified and they’ll review your profile. If they’d like to interview you, they’ll notify you directly or through JobScouts and proceed to interview.

Get in contact with us. If you have any issues, either submit a support request through our website, or message us directly on Facebook.

Absolutely! We’d like you too! Once you’ve joined as a Candidate, you can convert your account to be a Scout account. Once you’re a Scout you too can get paid for your Candidate introductions.

Sometimes Hirers get busy and they can’t get back to you. Generally, you’ll hear one way or the other within about 2 days.
